The Boldman House Museum will host “Art in the Garden,” a garden party and art show on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local artists will share their garden and regional artwork with the public in the Boldman Garden. Come stroll through the garden, enjoy the quiet breezes while viewing the wonderful artwork juxtaposed against the abundant blooms. The public will have the opportunity to meet some of the artists and view a wide variety of art. Prospective buyers are encouraged to directly contact the artist to arrange sales, and no fee is charged by the Boldman House for any resulting transaction. This is a free event.
Artists Who Would Like to Participate: At any time prior to the event, artists are invited to the Boldman House gardens to stroll the paths and gardens in order to choose a subject, take photographs for later inspiration, or set up your supplies on the spot to create an artwork in any medium. All artwork should reflect some aspect of gardens, our region, and/or the Boldman house. The grounds are always open, and the house is open for tours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesdays through Saturdays during the summer season.
*If you have any questions, please call Helen Peoples, Boldman House Coordinator at 509-382-1548. If you are bringing art work for display, please arrive early, between 10 and 11, so that the pieces can be arranged for the show. Sculpture, photography, quilting, and needlework, in addition to sketches, prints, and paintings are acceptable entries.
