Join us at the Dayton Historic Depot for a gripping journey back to an October day in 1928—a day that forever changed the town of Starbuck, WA.
On that fateful Friday evening, Marshal Jim ‘Pussyfoot’ Smith bravely confronted danger in the line of duty, but tragically lost his life protecting his community. Now, you can witness history come alive as one of our dedicated volunteers portrays a witness to the heroic acts of Marshal Smith in a compelling living history performance. Engage with history like never before—hear the stories, feel the tension, and honor the legacy of a true hometown hero.
After the performance, join us for a Q&A session with the volunteer performer and local history enthusiast to delve deeper into the history of Marshal Smith, the 1928 events, and what could be in store for the future of his legacy in the town of Starbuck, WA.
